The power driver circuit A4988 allows to connect directly to the motor module and control the speed and direction of rotation of one of the bipolar stepper motor up to a current of 1 A per phase. The module connects the power supply to motors (+ 8V ~ 35V | VMOT) and a second microcontroller (+ 3V ~ 5.5V | VDD). Movement is controlled by signals STEP and DIR. You can step through full step (1/1) or mikrokrokováním division step to 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16. The circuit is built protection against overheating, over-voltage and under-voltage and short circuit protection to ground and short-circuit the phase windings.
