Very precise source of clock time-controlled I2C bus. DS3231 contains circuit with intgrovaným oscillator and temperature sensor, correcting for temperature variations. The accuracy is then under normal conditions better than ± 2ppm (deviation of a few minutes per year). It includes 32kB EEPROM. The basic I2C address is 0x57. Other features are similar to those of the type DS1307. Supply 3.3V ~ 5.5V DC.
