The ISP-2023 meter is intended for the detection of alternating leakage currents in the earthing system of telecommunication distributions and for the quick localization of the place where the unwanted leakage occurs. The elongated and narrow design of the probe with the sensor on the tip allows insertion and measurement between individual blocks of verticals and distribution strips. It thus replaces clamp-on ammeters, which are unsuitable for this purpose due to the design of the sensor.
The LCD shows the level of induced current on the conductor in dimensionless units in the values 0-1999. When approximately 1,200 units are exceeded, an acoustic signal is activated to warn the operator of increased current flow without the need to monitor the values on the LCD. The sensitivity can be adjusted using a rotary potentiometer. The device is powered by a 9V battery with an LED indication of the approaching battery discharge.
The meter can also be used to quickly detect the passage of current in any AC circuits where a current higher than 0.1A flows.
